Defending 210, Gujarat looked in trouble when Delhi needed just two runs off the final two balls. But Prasidh delivered a brilliant slower bouncer that David Miller failed to connect with, and a sharp underarm direct hit from Jos Buttler behind the stumps ran out Kuldeep Yadav to seal the game.
The finish was made more dramatic by Miller’s decision not to take a single on the penultimate ball, choosing instead to finish the match himself. That call proved costly, as Gujarat snatched victory in stunning fashion to register their first win of IPL 2026.
Earlier, Gujarat’s total was built on a collective batting effort. Shubman Gill led the way with 70, while Washington Sundar scored 55 and Buttler added a quick-fire 52. Their contributions ensured GT crossed the 200 mark, giving their bowlers something to defend.
