RCB’s innings had wild swings—an explosive start, a middle-order collapse, and a late recovery. They posted 163 for 7, thanks largely to a late burst from Tim David. In response, DC were reeling at 67 for 4 before Rahul and Tristan Stubbs turned the chase around in dramatic fashion, stitching an unbroken 111-run stand to take their side home with 13 balls to spare.

From stutter to storm: Rahul takes charge

Rahul started slowly, struggling for rhythm on a sluggish surface. He crawled to 29 off 29 balls by the 11th over, but once he found his range, there was no stopping him. His transformation was electric—64 runs off his next 24 balls at a strike rate of 266.67. He tore into the RCB attack, dismantling Josh Hazlewood and Yash Dayal in particular, and sealed the game with a towering six over fine leg before emphatically slamming his bat on the ground in celebration.

RCB’s strange innings

The hosts flew out of the gates with 53 runs in the first three overs but managed just 74 in the next 15 while losing seven wickets. Phil Salt’s assault set the tone early, but a run-out and a middle-order slide pulled them back. Kuldeep Yadav (2 for 17) and Vipraj Nigam (2 for 18) spun a web around RCB, choking the scoring and claiming key wickets. Tim David’s late flourish (37* off 20) gave RCB a fighting total, but it proved insufficient.

DC’s wobble, and then redemption

DC’s top order faltered early, with Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yash Dayal reducing them to 39 for 3. The pressure mounted when they slipped to 67 for 4. But Rahul and Stubbs (38* off 20) kept their nerve. What looked like a lost cause quickly became a stroll, and DC secured their fourth win on the trot.

RCB, meanwhile, continue their search for a home win and answers to their batting inconsistency.
