Jaiswal, Sooryavanshi fire as RR set 150 in 11-over rain-hit game

Rajasthan Royals produced a dominant batting display in a rain-curtailed 11-over contest, finishing on 150 for 3 against Mumbai Indians, powered by Yashasvi Jaiswal (77) and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi (39).
Jaiswal was the standout performer, anchoring the innings while maintaining an aggressive tempo. He found boundaries consistently and ensured RR maximised the shortened format, turning starts into a commanding contribution.
At the other end, Sooryavanshi complemented him well with a brisk 39, playing freely and keeping the pressure on Mumbai’s bowlers. Their opening partnership set the tone early, allowing Rajasthan to dominate the powerplay and dictate the pace of the innings.
Despite losing a couple of wickets in the latter half, RR’s middle order ensured there was no drop in momentum, adding crucial runs in the closing overs to push the total to a challenging level.
Mumbai Indians’ bowlers struggled for control throughout, unable to contain the flow of runs on a surface that favoured batting, especially in a reduced game. While they managed to pick up three wickets, they couldn’t apply sustained pressure.
Chasing in a shortened contest always demands an aggressive approach, and Mumbai will need their power hitters to fire from the outset. With limited overs, there is little room to rebuild, making the powerplay crucial.
Rajasthan Royals, meanwhile, will look to back their total with early breakthroughs. With momentum on their side, they will aim to tighten the screws quickly and put Mumbai under pressure in what promises to be a high-intensity chase.
