Hayley Jensen Retires from International Cricket After 11-Year Career

New Zealand allrounder Hayley Jensen has announced her retirement from international cricket, closing the chapter on an 11-year career that spanned 35 ODIs and 53 T20Is. The 32-year-old made her debut in 2014 and became a key figure for the White Ferns, especially noted for her performances in global tournaments.

Jensen was part of four T20 World Cup squads and emerged as New Zealand's leading wicket-taker at the 2020 edition in Australia. She also featured in the 2022 ODI World Cup held at home and played a pivotal role in the 2022 Commonwealth Games, taking 3 for 24 in the bronze medal match against England.

Reflecting on her career, Jensen said:
"Ever since I was 10 years old, I came home from my first cricket tournament and knew I wanted to be a White Fern. To have had the chance to live that dream is something I'll always treasure."

New Zealand head coach Ben Sawyer praised her contributions:
"Hayley has made key contributions to the team with both bat and ball on the field and always brought a genuine passion and love for the game."

While Jensen has stepped away from international duties, she has not yet decided on the future of her domestic cricket career.
