Fakhar Zaman's 127 carries Pakistan to a record 326 chase in the tri-series final

Pakistan chased down 326 at Gaddafi Stadium to win the ODI tri-series, equalling the highest successful chase in a men's one-day tournament final
Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by three wickets in the final of the Pakistan ODI Tri-Series in Lahore on Saturday, reaching 331 for 7 in 48.3 overs after Sri Lanka had made 325 for 8 from their 50.
Fakhar Zaman's 127 from 99 balls brought the target within range, and Arafat Minhas's 61 from 31 put it beyond Sri Lanka, the winning runs arriving with nine balls to spare.
Pakistan had won the toss and bowled, then lost two wickets inside the fourth over of their reply. Captain Shaheen Shah Afridi ended the match by hitting Dilshan Madushanka for six.
Kamindu Mendis reaches his first ODI hundred
Kamindu Mendis opened the batting and stayed until the 42nd over, making 131 from 128 balls with 12 fours and two sixes for his first century in one-day internationals.
He added 87 for the first wicket with Avishka Fernando, who made 38 from 49 balls before Salman Ali Agha trapped him lbw.
The innings' largest stand was the 146 Kamindu shared with Pavan Rathnayake, whose 77 from 65 balls carried Sri Lanka through the middle overs at better than a run a ball.
Shaheen eventually removed Kamindu, and Sri Lanka lost their way immediately afterwards.
Sri Lanka lose six wickets for 70
At 255 for 2 after 41 overs, Sri Lanka were set for a total well past 350.
Instead they lost six wickets for 70 runs across the closing nine overs, Kusal Mendis falling for 8 and Dasun Shanaka for 17, and finished on 325 for 8.
Shaheen returned 2-50 and Salman Ali Agha 2-44, with Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf also taking two apiece.
Fakhar and Baig rebuild from 14 for 2
Madushanka reduced Pakistan to 14 for 2, bowling Maaz Sadaqat for 5 and dismissing Babar Azam without scoring.
Fakhar and Saad Baig answered with 149 for the third wicket. Baig made 74 from 75 balls, a first fifty in the format, and was out in the 27th over with the score 163 for 3.
Fakhar struck 11 fours and six sixes in a 12th ODI hundred that also took him past 4000 ODI runs. Madushanka had him in the 34th over at 220 for 4.
When Salman Ali Agha went for 17 from 25 balls, Pakistan were 230 for 5 and needed 96 from 79 deliveries.
Minhas turns the chase
Minhas settled it with four sixes and three fours, adding 94 from 65 balls for the sixth wicket with Hasan Nawaz.
Asitha Fernando dismissed him in the 48th over at 324 for 6, and removed Faheem Ashraf first ball, but Pakistan were by then within touching distance.
Hasan Nawaz finished on 37 not out and Shaheen cleared the rope to end it. Madushanka was the leading bowler with 3-63.
A chase to match Lord's 2002
The 326 Pakistan overhauled equals the highest successful chase in a men's ODI tournament final, matching India's pursuit of England's total at Lord's in the 2002 NatWest Series final.
Minhas ends a tri-series in which he took 6-40 against England at Rawalpindi, backing up a half-century in the same match.
Pakistan had also beaten Sri Lanka by 37 runs in the opening fixture of the tournament, with England the third side.
Scorecard: Sri Lanka 325 for 8 (Kamindu Mendis 131, Pavan Rathnayake 77; Shaheen Shah Afridi 2-50, Salman Ali Agha 2-44) lost to Pakistan 331 for 7 (Fakhar Zaman 127, Saad Baig 74, Arafat Minhas 61; Dilshan Madushanka 3-63) by three wickets at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
