West Indies Set for Busy 2026 Home Summer with Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Pakistan Tours

West Indies Set for Busy 2026 Home Summer with Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Pakistan Tours

West Indies cricket team will host Sri Lanka cricket team, New Zealand cricket team and Pakistan cricket team during a packed 2026 home season featuring Test, ODI and T20I cricket across the Caribbean.

The home campaign begins in June with Sri Lanka’s all-format tour. Jamaica’s Sabina Park will stage the white-ball leg, including three ODIs and three T20Is, before the series shifts to Antigua for two Test matches at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

The Test series carries major importance for the West Indies side, which currently sits at the bottom of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship standings after enduring a difficult cycle.

New Zealand’s visit in July will be limited to five ODIs. The opening three matches will take place at Guyana National Stadium, while the final two fixtures will move to Barbados’ iconic Kensington Oval after logistical adjustments forced a split schedule.

Cricket West Indies confirmed that the original plan to host all five ODIs in Guyana was revised following operational discussions between the Guyanese and Barbadian governments, leading to a shared hosting arrangement.

Pakistan’s tour will conclude the Caribbean summer and includes two crucial Test matches. The first Test, scheduled for late July, will be historic as the Brian Lara Cricket Academy prepares to host its inaugural Test match. The second Test will then be played at the renowned Queen's Park Oval in August.

For the West Indies, the Pakistan and Sri Lanka Tests represent an opportunity to revive their struggling World Test Championship campaign and improve on a disappointing run that has seen them lose seven of their first eight matches in the current cycle.

The season also highlights Cricket West Indies’ continued push to spread international cricket across multiple Caribbean venues while balancing logistical and operational challenges.
