RCB Edge Home by Two Wickets in Last-Ball Finish

Royal Challengers Bengaluru held their nerve in a dramatic finish to beat Mumbai Indians by two wickets with no balls remaining in a thrilling IPL 2026 contest. The match went down to the final delivery, with RCB completing a tense chase after being pushed hard by Mumbai’s bowlers.

Mumbai Indians had put up a fighting total, giving their bowlers something to defend. RCB’s chase did not begin smoothly, as early wickets brought pressure on the batting side. Virat Kohli’s early dismissal gave MI a major boost and made the chase more difficult for Bengaluru.

RCB needed someone to take control, and Krunal Pandya delivered a crucial knock under pressure. He played with confidence, attacked the loose balls and kept the scoreboard moving when wickets were falling around him. His innings gave RCB the belief that the target was still within reach.

Mumbai continued to fight back through the middle and death overs. Their bowlers struck at important moments and made sure RCB could never relax. Corbin Bosch was especially effective, picking up key wickets and turning the match into a close contest.

As the chase entered the final over, the pressure was at its peak. RCB still needed runs with only a couple of wickets in hand, while MI were just one or two good balls away from sealing victory. But Bengaluru’s lower order showed calmness when it mattered most.

With the match coming down to the last ball, RCB found the winning runs and completed a memorable two-wicket win. The victory will give them huge confidence, especially because they managed to win from a difficult position.

For Mumbai Indians, it was a painful defeat after taking the game so deep. For RCB, it was a statement of belief, composure and fighting spirit in a pressure-filled chase.
