Persistent rain in Dunedin brought an early end to the third T20I between New Zealand and Sri Lanka, resulting in a no result and leaving the series tied at 1-1.

Only 14.1 overs were possible before the weather intervened. New Zealand had made a strong start after being sent in by Chamari Athapaththu, with Suzie Bates (31 off 28) and Georgia Plimmer (46* off 28) putting on a 60-run partnership in eight overs. However, multiple rain delays disrupted play, with the match eventually being reduced to 15 overs per side before being abandoned.

Athapaththu, who impressed throughout the series with both bat and ball, was named Player of the Series. She finished with scores of 64* and 23, alongside bowling figures of 1-10, 0-19, and 1-19 across the three matches.
