Pretorius and Simelane Ruled Out of T20I Tri-Series Final

South Africa suffered two injury setbacks ahead of the Namibia T20I Tri-Series final against Zimbabwe, with opener Lhuan-dre Pretorius and seamer Andile Simelane ruled out.

Pretorius, the tournament's leading run-scorer, missed the final after picking up a groin injury. His absence means Connor Esterhuizen will continue at the top of the order alongside Jordan Hermann, while Tony de Zorzi comes into the middle order.

Fast bowler Simelane was also unavailable after suffering a side strain. South Africa will rely on Nqobani Mokoena, Kwena Maphaka, Eathan Bosch and Duan Jansen to handle the pace-bowling duties.

Jason Smith, who had been ruled out earlier with an adductor strain, has recovered and joined the squad in Namibia but will not feature in the final. He is expected to be available for next week's three-match ODI series.

Zimbabwe, meanwhile, received a boost with Newman Nyamhuri recovering from a minor niggle and returning to the XI. Their pace attack includes Brad Evans, Blessing Muzarabani and Kundai Matigimu, with Wellington Masakadza left out.
