Lucknow Super Giants' (LSG) Nicholas Pooran retains the Orange Cap after a blistering start to the season. With 189 runs from three innings at an average of 63 and a tournament-best strike rate of 219.76, Pooran has been in electric form. His latest effort — a 44-run knock against Punjab Kings (PBKS) — followed two explosive innings: 75 off 30 balls against Delhi Capitals and 70 off just 26 deliveries versus Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

PBKS skipper Shreyas Iyer has surged into second place following another composed performance. After his unbeaten 52 in the win over LSG, he now has 149 runs from two innings. Iyer kicked off his season with a commanding 97* off 42 balls against Gujarat Titans, anchoring both of PBKS' successful chases so far.

At No. 3 is B Sai Sudharsan of Gujarat Titans, who has quietly made his mark. Despite a relatively modest strike rate of 167.07, his 137 runs from just two innings underline his consistency at the top of the order.

Noor Ahmad has been the breakout bowling star of IPL 2025 so far. Representing Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the Afghan wristspinner leads the Purple Cap race with nine wickets in three games. With figures of 4 for 18, 3 for 36, and 2 for 28, he’s outshone senior spinners R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, who have five wickets between them.

Hot on his heels is Delhi Capitals’ (DC) Mitchell Starc, who has claimed eight wickets in just two appearances. After a slightly expensive return of 3 for 42 in his opener against LSG, Starc bounced back with a career-best 5 for 35 against SRH — dismantling their top order and returning in the death to finish the job.

Tied for third place are Shardul Thakur (LSG) and Khaleel Ahmed (CSK), each with six wickets from three games. Thakur's standout performance was 4 for 34 in LSG's win over SRH, while Khaleel impressed with 3 for 29 against Mumbai Indians in CSK’s opener.
