The 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will begin and end at Lahore’s iconic Gaddafi Stadium, with the venue confirmed to host both the opening match and the final of the 2026 season.
The tournament, scheduled from March 26 to May 3, marks a historic expansion as the PSL grows to eight teams for the first time. The enlarged competition will feature 44 matches across six cities, adding Faisalabad and Peshawar as new host venues alongside Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi and Multan.
Despite the wider geographic spread, the tournament will largely be concentrated in Lahore and Rawalpindi, which together will stage 26 of the 44 matches. Lahore will host the most games with 15 fixtures, while Rawalpindi will stage 11 matches. Karachi will host six matches, while Faisalabad will stage seven in its PSL debut as a host city.
Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will also serve as the home ground for two teams—Islamabad United and Rawalpindi Pindiz—with the two local derby clashes scheduled for April 4 and April 23.
The expanded eight-team format means the traditional double round-robin system has been adjusted. Each side will now play ten matches, facing some opponents twice and others only once. Major rivalries, particularly the high-profile clash between Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars, will still occur twice, both at Gaddafi Stadium.
The playoffs will largely be staged in Lahore, with only the first qualifier scheduled in Rawalpindi. The final will take place on May 3, with May 4 reserved as a backup day in case of rain.
Defending champions Lahore Qalandars enter the season after winning three of the last four PSL titles, making them one of the dominant teams in recent editions of the tournament.
