BCB in Ongoing Discussions with PCB Over Bangladesh's Scheduled Tour of Pakistan

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is in "active and ongoing discussions" with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding Bangladesh's upcoming white-ball tour of Pakistan later this month.

In an official statement released on Saturday, the BCB reiterated that the safety and security of its players and support staff remain the Board’s top priority. "All decisions concerning the tour will be made with careful consideration of the current situation in Pakistan, ensuring they align with the best interests of the team and Bangladesh cricket," the statement read.

Bangladesh is set to arrive in Pakistan on May 21 for a series of five T20I matches in Lahore and Faisalabad. However, the ongoing tensions along the India-Pakistan border have raised concerns regarding the tour's safety.

In the meantime, the Bangladesh team will travel to Dubai later this week to play two T20I matches against the UAE before heading to Pakistan.

Bangladesh players Rishad Hossain and Nahid Rana, who were part of PSL 2025 before its indefinite postponement, returned home on Friday. Both players arrived in Dhaka on Friday evening and are scheduled to depart for the UAE with the rest of the Bangladesh squad on Wednesday. Should the PSL resume soon, it is unlikely that they will return to the tournament due to Bangladesh's upcoming international commitments.
