Zimbabwe choose to bat as Bangladesh hand debut to Tanzim Hasan Sakib

Zimbabwe captain Craig Ervine elected to bat first after winning the toss against Bangladesh in the second Test at Chattogram.

The visitors made two changes to their XI, handing a debut to legspinner Vincent Masekesa and bringing in wicketkeeper Tafadzwa Tsiga in place of Nyasha Mayavo. While Masekesa is making his Test debut, Tsiga will be appearing in his third Test match.

Bangladesh, meanwhile, made several changes of their own. Anamul Haque returned to the Test side for the first time in nearly two years. Fast bowler Tanzim Hasan Sakib was awarded his Test debut, and offspinner Nayeem Hasan also came into the playing XI. Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Khaled Ahmed were left out, while Nahid Rana remains unavailable due to his commitments in the PSL.

Zimbabwe head into the second Test with a 1-0 lead in the two-match series.
