Yashasvi Jaiswal to Stay with Mumbai After Withdrawing NOC to Join Goa

Yashasvi Jaiswal will continue representing Mumbai in the 2025–26 domestic season after the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) approved his request to withdraw the no-objection certificate (NOC) he had earlier sought to move to Goa. MCA president Ajinkya Naik confirmed the development, calling Jaiswal “a proud product of Mumbai cricket.”

The 23-year-old had initially requested the NOC in April, citing plans to relocate to Goa with his family. However, he later reversed the decision, choosing to remain with the team he has represented since his Under-19 days. Jaiswal, who made his first-class debut in 2019, has amassed 863 runs in ten matches for Mumbai at an average of 53.93, including four centuries.

He featured for Mumbai in the recent Ranji Trophy season but missed the semi-final due to an ankle injury. Currently part of India’s Test squad in England, Jaiswal recently scored a century in the opening Test at Leeds, though India fell short by five wickets.
