The home side scraped past the target when Ethan Bamber reverse-swept Leach for four, ensuring Somerset would have to bat again. In Somerset’s second innings, early wickets fell as Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Josh Davey departed, but Tom Lammonby and James Rew combined for an 83-run stand before Lammonby was dismissed for 33. As Somerset closed the day with a lead of 263, the match now appears destined for a draw unless the final day produces a miraculous turn of events.
