Former Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal was rushed to hospital after experiencing chest pain during a Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League match between Mohammedan Sporting Club and Shinepukur Cricket Club at the BKSP-3 ground in Savar.

The incident occurred during the first innings, while Tamim's side, Mohammedan Sporting Club, was fielding. According to match referee Debabrata Paul, a helicopter was initially arranged to transport him, but when that plan didn’t materialise, he was taken by road to the nearby Fazilatunnesa Hospital for medical attention.
