He added 142 runs in 15 overs with captain Ayush Mhatre, who chipped in with a steady 53. Another brisk stand with Vedant Trivedi kept India surging forward, as Sooryavanshi raced from fifty to a hundred in only 23 balls, and from 100 to 150 in another 16 deliveries. England’s spin attack, led by Farhan Ahmed and Ralphie Albert, had no answers as sixes flew to every part of the ground.

Sooryavanshi eventually fell gloving a slog-sweep, but late contributions from Abhigyan Kundu (40) and Kanishk Chouhan helped India cross the 400-mark despite James Minto’s valiant 3-63.

Chasing a record-breaking target, England made a hesitant start, surviving two maiden overs before lifting the tempo through Ben Mayes and Ben Dawkins. After Ambrish bowled Joseph Moore, Mayes counterattacked with 7 fours and 2 sixes, while captain Thomas Rew’s explosive cameo pushed the rate forward. But Dawkins’ dismissal for 65 triggered a dramatic collapse of 4 wickets for 3 runs, halting England’s momentum.

Caleb Falconer revived hopes with a superb 115, adding 92 with Minto, but with the asking rate soaring beyond ten an over, the task proved insurmountable. Falconer’s dismissal sealed India’s triumph and crowned a campaign dominated by their young prodigy, Sooryavanshi, whose extraordinary innings defined the final.
