RCB Storm into IPL 2025 Final as Purple and Orange Cap Races Heat Up

Josh Hazlewood marked an impressive comeback from injury, claiming three crucial wickets to dismantle PBKS’s top order with precision and swing. His early spell not only rocked the opposition but also catapulted him into the top three of the Purple Cap leaderboard. With 21 wickets in 11 innings, Hazlewood now occupies the No. 3 spot.

Noor Ahmad of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) continues to lead the Purple Cap table with 24 wickets, closely followed by Gujarat Titans’ Prasidh Krishna with 23 wickets. Mumbai Indians’ Trent Boult, holding fourth place with 19 wickets, will also feature in Friday’s Eliminator.

Orange Cap Standings

In a low-scoring chase of 102 at New Chandigarh, RCB captain Virat Kohli added 12 runs, taking his season total to 614 runs from 14 matches and maintaining his fifth place on the Orange Cap leaderboard.

The top three remain unchanged, led by Gujarat Titans’ B Sai Sudharsan with 679 runs, followed by Shubman Gill with 649 and Suryakumar Yadav of Mumbai Indians with 640 runs. All three will be in action on Friday.

Mitchell Marsh of Lucknow Super Giants has wrapped up his campaign with 627 runs, sitting comfortably at No. 4.
