Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have won the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the first time. On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, RCB defeated the Punjab Kings by 6 runs in a thrilling final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, ending an 18-year wait since the league's inception in 2008. 

This victory is particularly significant for Virat Kohli, who has been with RCB since the inaugural season. In the final, he contributed a steady 43 runs off 35 balls, becoming the player with the most fours (771) in IPL history.

Under the captaincy of Rajat Patidar and coaching of Andy Flower, RCB's bowlers, including Krunal Pandya and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, delivered under pressure to secure the win. 

This triumph marks RCB's first IPL title, having previously finished as runners-up in 2009, 2011, and 2016.
