Pakistan opt to bat against Netherlands; Eyman Fatima and Tuba Hassan return

Pakistan women's national cricket team won the toss and chose to bat first against Netherlands women's national cricket team in their final group-stage match of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.

With both teams already eliminated from semifinal contention, the contest is about ending the campaign on a positive note and securing a first win of the tournament.

Pakistan captain Fatima Sana admitted her side has underperformed so far and emphasized a more aggressive approach.

“We haven’t played our best cricket this tournament. We want to be more attacking today,” she said at the toss.

Pakistan made two changes:

  • Eyman Fatima comes in
  • Tuba Hassan returns
  • Out: Aliya Riaz and Rameen Shamim

The omission of Aliya follows a difficult tournament with the bat.

Netherlands skipper Babette de Leede remained optimistic despite her side’s struggles.

“Today’s the day we get our first win. We have really good game plans.”

The Dutch made one change, bringing in Heather Siegers for Myrthe van den Raad.
