Nandani Sharma's 3-18 caps India's record 92-run win over Zimbabwe in Raipur

Nandani Sharma's 3-18 caps India's record 92-run win over Zimbabwe in Raipur

India restricted Zimbabwe to 124 for 7 in Raipur to complete a 3-0 sweep by the widest runs margin they have managed at home in women's T20Is

Nandani Sharma took 3-18 and four team-mates claimed a wicket apiece as India defended 216 for 7 to win the third and final T20I by 92 runs at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium on Tuesday.

The margin is the largest by runs in any women's T20I India have played at home, passing the 72-run win over Bangladesh in Bengaluru in 2016.

India had already taken the series with wins in the first two matches, and the sweep was sealed by a bowling effort that spread the work across five bowlers rather than leaning on one spell.

Two down inside the opening overs

Zimbabwe lost a wicket to the first ball of their reply, Kranti Gaud bowling the opener for a golden duck.

A second wicket fell in the following over, and the chase was 12 for 2 with 205 still needed from 18 overs.

At no stage after that did the required rate come back within reach. India had set 217 to win, and a Zimbabwe side that had been beaten in the first two matches of the series never found the tempo to threaten it.

Mayers and Biza offer the only resistance

Sharne Mayers and Beloved Biza added 82 for the third wicket, the one passage of the innings in which Zimbabwe kept anywhere near the rate.

Biza made 44 from 50 balls with five fours, anchoring the stand while Mayers attacked. Mayers top-scored and struck all four of Zimbabwe's sixes.

The partnership came at a little under a run a ball, which left the chase needing something close to double that rate once it was broken.

Nandani Sharma leads a shared effort

Nandani Sharma's 3-18 was the standout return of the innings, and the remaining wickets went to Niki Prasad, Deepti Sharma, Arundhati Reddy and Gaud, one each.

Her figures were the best returned by any bowler in the match. Biza also took three wickets for Zimbabwe, but conceded 50 in doing so, and no other bowler on either side took more than one.

Zimbabwe closed on 124 for 7 from their 20 overs, 92 short of the target.

Harmanpreet and Shafali build the total

India had chosen to bat and posted 216 for 7, an innings built on Harmanpreet Kaur's unbeaten 91 from 41 balls and Shafali Verma's 69 at the top of the order.

Harmanpreet reached her fifty in 25 balls. Anushka Sharma made 28 in an opening stand with Shafali, and India struck 11 sixes across the innings.

Biza was the most successful of the Zimbabwe bowlers with 3-50 from her four overs, with Nomvelo Sibanda, Tendai Makusha and Nyasha Gwanzura taking one each.

A record margin and a clean sweep

The BCCI's women's cricket account marked the result on X, posting: "Emphatic! #TeamIndia clinch the series 3-0 with their biggest win at home (by runs) in T20Is."

For Zimbabwe the defeat is their joint fifth-heaviest in women's T20Is by runs, level with a 92-run loss to New Zealand in Hamilton earlier in 2026. Zimbabwe's heaviest losses in the format have also come in 2026, among them defeats by 153 and 133 runs against Pakistan in Karachi.

India now turn to the one-day leg of the tour, for which both squads were named alongside the T20I group earlier this month. Zimbabwe lost all three T20Is.

Scorecard: India Women 216 for 7 (Harmanpreet Kaur 91*, Shafali Verma 69, Beloved Biza 3-50) beat Zimbabwe Women 124 for 7 (Beloved Biza 44, Nandani Sharma 3-18) by 92 runs.
