Klaasen’s knock, which included nine sixes and seven fours, was a breathtaking display of power-hitting and precision, as he reached his century in just 37 balls, equaling the joint-third fastest IPL hundred of all time. Their partnership brought 50 runs in just 20 balls, and Aniket Verma added the finishing touches with a six and four in a six-ball cameo. Despite Klaasen missing out on a strike in the final over, SRH still ended with an imposing 278, as KKR’s bowlers—especially Nortje (0/60 in 4 overs) and Varun Chakravarthy (0/54 in 3)—suffered one of their worst outings.
