Sunrisers Hyderabad have surged to the top of the IPL 2026 batting charts, with Heinrich Klaasen and Ishan Kishan occupying the top two spots in the Orange Cap race after their strong performances against Rajasthan Royals.
Kishan produced a stunning knock of 91 off 44 balls, leaping ahead of the competition in dramatic fashion. His innings showcased aggressive strokeplay and composure, helping SRH post a commanding total. Klaasen, who had already been among the top run-getters, further strengthened his position with a quickfire 40 off just 26 deliveries, peppered with three sixes. Together, the duo has given SRH a significant edge in the batting charts this season.
The match also saw a shift in the standings as Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who had led the charts coming into the game, was dismissed for a first-ball duck. Despite the setback, he remains among the top three, making it a tightly contested race. Notably, Klaasen, Kishan, and Sooryavanshi are the first players this season to cross the 200-run mark.
For Rajasthan Royals, it was a quieter outing with the bat. Yashasvi Jaiswal managed just a single run, while Dhruv Jurel also failed to make an impact.
On the bowling front, Ravi Bishnoi remained second in the Purple Cap race despite going wicketless in the match. However, his teammate Jofra Archer impressed with two wickets, moving up the standings.
SRH’s bowling unit also showed promise, with Eshan Malinga joining the list of top wicket-takers. With both bat and ball clicking, SRH have firmly established themselves as strong contenders in IPL 2026.
