West Indies fast-bowling allrounder Javon Searles has been provisionally suspended from all cricket after being charged with multiple breaches of anti-corruption regulations linked to the 2023–24 Bim10 Tournament in Barbados.
The charges were brought jointly by the International Cricket Council and Cricket West Indies under their respective anti-corruption codes. Alongside Searles, Titans team owner Chitranjan Rathod and team official Trevon Griffith have also been provisionally suspended.
According to the ICC, Rathod faces three charges under the Cricket West Indies anti-corruption code, while Searles faces four. Griffith faces four charges under the CWI code as well as an additional charge under the ICC’s anti-corruption code.
The charges relate primarily to allegations of attempting to fix or improperly influence matches in the Bim10 tournament. The trio are accused of breaching Article 2.1.1 of the CWI code, which covers fixing or attempting to fix the result, progress, or conduct of matches. They are also charged with breaching Article 2.1.4, which concerns soliciting or encouraging others to commit corruption-related offences.
In addition, both Searles and Griffith have been accused of failing to disclose corrupt approaches to Cricket West Indies, while Griffith faces a further charge from the ICC for allegedly obstructing an anti-corruption investigation by concealing or tampering with evidence.
All three individuals have been given 14 days from March 11, 2026 to respond to the charges.
The case is part of a wider corruption probe into the Bim10 tournament, which previously saw USA batter Aaron Jones charged with multiple breaches of ICC and CWI anti-corruption codes.
Searles previously represented West Indies at Under-19 level and played in franchise leagues including the Caribbean Premier League and the Indian Premier League, where he featured for Kolkata Knight Riders in 2018.
