IPL 2025 Orange and Purple Cap Standings: Pooran, Noor Hold Firm at the Top

Despite a low-scoring thriller between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Mullanpur, there were no major shake-ups at the top of the IPL 2025 Orange and Purple Cap leaderboards.

Orange Cap Update

PBKS skipper Shreyas Iyer, sitting on 250 runs, had a chance to break into the top three, but his second-ball duck against PBKS kept him in fourth place.

Nicholas Pooran of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) remains the Orange Cap holder with 357 runs from seven matches, averaging 59.50 with a blistering strike rate of 208.77.

Following him is Gujarat Titans' B Sai Sudharsan, who has accumulated 329 runs in six outings. In third is another LSG batter, Mitchell Marsh, with 295 runs also from six games.

RCB’s Virat Kohli (248 runs) and MI’s Suryakumar Yadav (239) round out the top six.

Purple Cap Update

CSK’s left-arm wristspinner Noor Ahmad continues to top the Purple Cap standings with 12 wickets from seven games, boasting an economy rate of 7.12.

Close behind him are Khaleel Ahmed (also of CSK) and LSG’s Shardul Thakur, both with 11 wickets each.

A large pack of bowlers sit tied on 10 wickets—including Kuldeep Yadav (DC), Hardik Pandya (MI), and GT trio Prasidh Krishna, R Sai Kishore, and Mohammed Siraj. They’ve now been joined by KKR duo Varun Chakravarthy and Harshit Rana, thanks to their strong showings against PBKS—Varun took 2 for 21, while Rana claimed 3 for 25.
