Guwahati to Host Its First Test as India Welcomes West Indies and South Africa for Home Season

Guwahati is set to become the 30th Test venue in India when it hosts the second Test between India and South Africa from November 22 to 26, marking a historic moment for Assam cricket.

The BCCI on Wednesday announced the full schedule for India's 2025-26 home international season, which features bilateral series against West Indies and South Africa as part of India’s World Test Championship commitments.

The season kicks off with a two-Test series against the West Indies. The opening match will be played in Ahmedabad from October 2 to 6, followed by the second Test in Kolkata from October 10 to 14.

A month later, India will take on South Africa in a two-Test series. The first Test will be held in Delhi from November 14 to 18, followed by the landmark Test in Guwahati.

Following the Tests, India and South Africa will play three ODIs on November 30 (Ranchi), December 3 (Raipur), and December 6 (Visakhapatnam). These day-night games will begin at 1:30 PM IST.

The tour concludes with five T20Is scheduled in Cuttack (December 9), Mullanpur (December 11), Dharamsala (December 14), Lucknow (December 17), and Ahmedabad (December 19), all starting at 7:00 PM IST.

In addition to the men’s fixtures, India will also host the Women’s ODI World Cup during the 2025-26 home season, making it a packed and exciting period for Indian cricket fans.
