India Crush Pakistan by Seven Wickets in One-Sided Asia Cup Clash

India produced a dominant all-round performance to thrash Pakistan by seven wickets in their Women's Asia Cup encounter in Dubai, bowling them out for just 55 before reaching the target in 8.4 overs.

Pakistan, sent in to bat first, made a steady start as Muneeba Ali and Shawaal Zulfiqar added 27 for the opening wicket. However, Shree Charani's breakthrough triggered a dramatic collapse, with Pakistan losing their last nine wickets for just 28 runs.

Charani and Prema Rawat claimed three wickets each, while Deepti Sharma picked up two as Pakistan were bowled out for their lowest-ever total in Women's T20Is. Only Muneeba (13) and Zulfiqar (14) managed to reach double figures.

India's chase began aggressively, with Shafali Verma smashing the first ball for six. She also reached 3,000 Women's T20I runs during the innings, becoming the youngest player to achieve the milestone at 22 years and 220 days.

Pakistan captain Fatima Sana briefly threatened to change the momentum, taking three wickets, including those of Shafali, Pratika Rawal and Smriti Mandhana. But Harmanpreet Kaur and Deepti Sharma calmly guided India home without further trouble.

Harmanpreet, leading India in her 150th T20I as captain, sealed the victory with a six as India finished top of Group A with three wins from three matches.

Brief Scores: Pakistan 55 (Shawaal Zulfiqar 14; Shree Charani 3-7, Prema Rawat 3-9) lost to India 57/3 in 8.4 overs (Harmanpreet Kaur 18*, Deepti Sharma 12*; Fatima Sana 3-17) by 7 wickets.
