India's women's ODI squad for the upcoming tri-series against South Africa and Sri Lanka has been announced on April 8. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side features exciting young talent, with Kashvee Gautam, Sree Charani, and Shuchi Upadhyay earning their maiden international call-ups.

Two Key Pacers Injured

Renuka Singh Thakur and Titas Sadhu have not yet recovered from their injuries and were hence not considered for selection. In their absence, selectors have turned to promising newcomers.

Kashvee Gautam impressed for Gujarat Giants in WPL 2025, taking 11 wickets at an average of 18.18 and an economy rate of 6.45.
Sree Charani, playing for Delhi Capitals, took 4 wickets in 2 games at an average of 17.75, though she was a bit expensive with an economy rate of 8.87.
