India A to Face New Zealand A in Three Four-Day Games Before WTC Tests

India A to Face New Zealand A in Three Four-Day Games Before WTC Tests

India A will play three four-day matches against New Zealand A from October 24 to November 10 as part of their preparation for the upcoming two-Test series between the senior teams.

The A series will be played in Lincoln and Christchurch, with the matches scheduled just before the Tests in Wellington and Christchurch on November 19 and November 27 respectively.

The games will overlap with India’s white-ball tour of New Zealand, which includes five T20Is and five ODIs from October 22 to November 15. They will also clash with the Ranji Trophy, meaning players selected for the India A tour will miss domestic matches.

The three games are scheduled for October 24-27, October 31-November 3 and November 7-10.

The A series will provide valuable red-ball preparation for players hoping to push for Test selection, while both teams will also be looking to strengthen their positions in the World Test Championship standings.

New Zealand currently sit third in the WTC table, while India are fifth, making the upcoming Test series particularly important for both sides.
