Healy’s final ODI innings was vintage in every sense. Striking 27 fours and two sixes, she dismantled India’s attack with audacious pulls, lofted drives and sweeps, reaching her century off just 79 balls before racing to 150 in 95. Battling calf cramps she later joked were due to “getting old,” she ensured her swansong would be remembered as one of the finest innings of her glittering career.

Her 145-run stand with Beth Mooney laid the foundation for Australia’s imposing 409 for 7. While Healy dominated early, Mooney accelerated superbly to finish unbeaten on 106 from 84 balls, reaching her hundred in the final over. Late hitting from Nicola Carey (34 not out off 15) propelled the hosts past the 400 mark after a brief wobble.

India’s daunting chase of 410 began briskly but quickly unraveled. Jemimah Rodrigues struck 42 off 29 and Sneh Rana added 44 from No.9, yet regular wickets stalled momentum. Legspinner Alana King ripped through the middle order with 4 for 33 as India were bowled out for 224.

The victory gives Australia an 8-4 lead in the series standings with only the Perth Test remaining. For Healy, who even bowled the first overs of her international career once the result was beyond doubt, it was a fairytale finish — a final flourish befitting one of the modern greats.
