After Lancashire posted 230 for 8, built on a strong opening stand of 106 between Eve Jones (57) and Emma Lamb (43), Essex’s bowlers turned the tide. Grewcock and fellow legspinner Abtaha Maqsood triggered a collapse in which seven wickets fell for just 76 runs, aided by a crucial double-strike from seamer Kate Coppack. Despite a late flourish from Tara Norris and Grace Potts, Lancashire’s total looked under par. Essex’s reply began confidently with Grace Scrivens and Lissy MacLeod compiling 77 for the first wicket — their best opening stand of the tournament — before both fell to Hannah Jones in quick succession. Grewcock then anchored the innings with a calm, unbeaten 73 off 91 balls, first steadying the chase with Cordelia Griffith and then forging a match-defining 89-run partnership with Flo Miller (41). Despite Miller falling with 14 still needed, Grewcock sealed the win by driving a full toss from Lamb to the boundary, capping a dominant display with both bat and ball.
