Delhi Capitals: Updated Overseas Player Availability for IPL 2025

Delhi Capitals have made key adjustments to their overseas roster as IPL 2025 resumes after a brief interruption. South African veterans Faf du Plessis and Tristan Stubbs have confirmed their return, with Stubbs available only for the remainder of the league phase. He will depart before the playoffs to join South Africa's squad for the World Test Championship (WTC) final. Mustafizur Rahman has been granted a no-objection certificate by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to join DC from May 18 to 24. This window allows him to feature in Delhi’s final three league matches, but he will not be available for the playoffs, should DC qualify. Mustafizur is scheduled to play a T20I against the UAE on the morning of May 18 in Sharjah before travelling to India, casting some doubt over his readiness for Delhi’s match later that same evening.

Mitchell Starc, DC’s leading wicket-taker this season with 14 wickets in 11 games, has opted out of the remainder of the tournament to focus on preparations for the WTC final. Donovan Ferreira, who featured in one game earlier in the season, will also not be returning. Meanwhile, Dushmantha Chameera and Sediqullah Atal remain fully available for the rest of the campaign.
