Debutant Hinge stars as SRH crush Royals to end winning streak

Sunrisers Hyderabad delivered a stunning all-round performance to defeat Rajasthan Royals by 57 runs in IPL 2026, with debutant Praful Hinge producing a sensational spell that broke the game wide open.
The foundation for SRH’s victory was laid by Ishan Kishan, who smashed a brilliant 91 off 44 balls. His aggressive innings, combined with a quickfire 40 from Heinrich Klaasen, powered SRH to a formidable total of 216 for 6. Kishan dominated the Royals’ attack with powerful hitting, ensuring SRH had a match-winning score on a batting-friendly Hyderabad pitch.
However, the real turning point came with the ball. Hinge announced himself in style, picking up three wickets in his very first over — a rare feat in IPL history. He removed key batters including Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Dhruv Jurel, leaving RR in complete disarray early in the chase.
At the other end, fellow debutant Sakib Hussain added to the carnage, dismissing Yashasvi Jaiswal and finishing with four wickets. Together, the two youngsters shared eight wickets, reducing RR to a shocking 9 for 5 inside the powerplay and effectively sealing the contest.
Despite some resistance from Donovan Ferreira, who scored 69, and Ravindra Jadeja, who added 45, the target proved far too steep. RR were eventually bowled out for 159, ending their four-match winning streak.
This emphatic win not only boosted SRH’s campaign but also showcased the emergence of exciting young talent, with Hinge’s dream debut likely to be remembered as one of the standout moments of IPL 2026.
