After bowling India out for 198 on the opening day, Australia’s batters gradually took control of the contest, building crucial partnerships to push the team ahead in the first innings.
Annabel Sutherland continued her outstanding all-round performance by leading Australia’s batting effort. Having already claimed four wickets with the ball, Sutherland showed equal composure with the bat, anchoring the innings and guiding Australia past India’s total. Her steady approach ensured the hosts recovered from early setbacks and maintained momentum through the middle session.
