Amshi de Silva’s Four-For Powers Texas Super Kings to Crucial Win Over Unicorns

Amshi de Silva delivered a match-winning spell as Texas Super Kings defeated San Francisco Unicorns by 22 runs in a low-scoring clash to secure their second victory of Major League Cricket 2026. After being asked to bat first, Texas posted a competitive 161 for 8 despite a middle-order wobble. Faf du Plessis (40) and Saiteja Mukkamalla (36) gave them a strong start, but it was Donovan Ferreira who changed the game with a powerful 45 off just 28 balls, including four sixes, helping Texas recover from 96 for 5.
In reply, the Unicorns never built momentum. De Silva struck early, removing Finn Allen before dismissing Lhuan-dre Pretorius and Connor Esterhuizen in quick succession to derail the chase.
Texas’ pace attack kept tightening the screws, with de Silva finishing with outstanding figures of 4 for 28, while Abhimanyu Lamba and Adam Milne chipped in with two wickets each.
The win lifts Texas to second place in the standings with two wins from four matches, while the Unicorns remain near the bottom after another disappointing batting display.
