Nitish Rana is set to return to his home state, Delhi, after a challenging two‑year stint with Uttar Pradesh. The batter has received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from UPCA and cited “family reasons” for the move. DDCA has confirmed talks with Rana but is yet to officially receive the NOC before confirming his spot.

Rana struggled with form in UP across formats and was dropped from several sides, making just 150 runs in four Ranji Trophy matches and averaging 13.87 in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He also had a subdued IPL 2025 campaign before injury. The left‑hander now aims to revive his domestic career and could feature in the Delhi Premier League in August if the move goes through.
